Conceptual Design


Conceptual Engineering is the foundation and preliminary design stage of the project. Conceptual Design phase serves to identify the technical and economic feasibility of the project, and then one can set the course for the development of basic and detailed engineering TOPSE will help you to get the answers of the below questions through our holistic approach towards Conceptual Engineering

Basic and Detailed Design


Basic Design

The basic engineering design phase is generally associated with an economic and financial feasibility study. During basic engineering TOPSE will explore the various options for the facility. Basic engineering serves to provide a project cost estimate closer to reality.

Typical deliverables of the Basic design :

  • Alternative plant layouts options meeting GMP and other regulatory requirement requirements
  • Men/material flow drawings on the approved layout
  • Utility calculations.
  • Process Flow and P&ID for process and Utilities.
  • Electrical design – Electrical Load list, HT and LT scheme, Transformer, DG calculations.
  • Control and Instrumentation – Control Philosophy, Basis of design for the automation.
  • HVAC Design – Room Book, Basis of design for HVAC, Air Flow schematic
  • ETP capacity calculation and Schematic.
  • Fire Fighting schematic and tentative layout

Detailed Design

Detailed design phase is the set of documents generated from the Basic Engineering. These include all the details require for procurement & construction details by each discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Process, Electric, HVAC Instrumentation and Control, Computer Systems) which must be approved for construction. This process serves to provide a closed project cost estimate.

Procurement Assistance


Efficient and speedy procurement is also plays a vital role in any of the project. TOPSE will assist the client for the procurement to adhere the project schedule. The activity will be internal coordinated with detail design team.

  • Coordinate with vendor and internal detailed design team to get the offers from the client.
  • To coordinate with vendor for any technical and commercial terms queries.
  • To prepare the techno commercial comparison for the offers.
